| Beginning in 1974, at a friends suggestion I became to write "poems" for each of the Tarot cards. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and this is certainly true of the of the Tarot deck with it's rich symbolism. It became a labor of love that took over 14 years of inspiration, many classes and seminars, and many rewrites for me to finally finish my work on my book "The Practical, Mystical Tarot". After several rejection letters from agents and publishers, I put the project to rest on the back shelf. Now with the Internet and all it's possibilities; I have decided to reawaken this book in the form of e-classes. The power of the cards and their message that I have taught only in classes and workshops in places like San Francisco, Las Vegas, Sedona, Hollywood and the islands of Hawaii; are now available to you anywhere in the world. Here I freely share some of the poems, invocations, short essays that the cards inspired. They are not meant to represent the only meaning of each card because i don't believe any card has only one meaning. They are mean to be thought provoking, sometimes humorous, and often reverent perceptions of the cards. In any case, enjoy them and if they resonate somewhere within you, then take the first lesson delivered to you by e-mail, supported by chat and text that works with you at your own pace. Whether a beginner or a life long student of the arcane, you'll find enrichment in your understanding of the Tarot and it's uses as the best tool for developing intuition. Michael Forrest-Utah 2010 |
